Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Articles
Empirical, theoretical, or methodological articles present a specific management issue or problem at the international level.
They must not exceed 60,000 characters (including spaces) or 30 pages (including references – not including tables, figures, and appendices), and they must be double-spaced in US letter format (215.9 × 279.4 mm) with 12-point font.
Research notes
Research notes are essentially devoted to the presentation of theoretical perspectives, conceptual frameworks, and research methods and results.
They must not exceed 60,000 characters (including spaces) or 30 pages (including references – not including tables, figures, and appendices), and they must be double-spaced in US letter format (215.9 × 279.4 mm) with 12-point font.
Copyright Notice
Assignment of copyright
Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication in International Management (Mi) must sign a copyright assignment form. This form grants Mi the rights necessary to publish and distribute the article. However, authors retain the rights included in the Creative Commons reproduction license: CC BY 4.0.
Policies on self-archiving after acceptance
To maximize the visibility of published work, Mi has adopted the following policies on self-archiving:
- Preprint: The original version submitted before the peer review may be immediately deposited in a personal or institutional repository, but it must be accompanied by the following statement: “This manuscript is a preprint submitted to International Management. The published version may be different.”
- Postprint: The version accepted after the peer review may be deposited in a personal or institutional repository, but it must be accompanied by the following statement: “This is a version accepted after peer review and published in International Management. Please consult the final version here: [DOI link].”
Compliance with Open Access Mandates
Mi adheres to the policies of Diamond Open Access without APCs. Articles are published immediately after the correction of the proofs, the assignment of an individual DOI, and the final preparation of the issue.
Authorizations and reuse
Articles published by Mi are under Creative Commons reproduction licence CC BY 4.0. This licence authorizes third parties to read, download, copy, and disseminate work for non-commercial purposes.
Management of third-party rights
To ensure copyright compliance as well as compliance with international standards, authors must agree to the following:
- They must obtain and provide authorizations for any use of material protected by copyright (for example, figures, tables, images, data, or excerpts from texts). Please note that an agreement signed by the rights holders is necessary.
- Authorization documentation: They must provide a copy of authorizations to the editorial board when they submit their manuscript.
- For specific questions concerning third-party rights, they can contact the journal directly to obtain advice or examples of authorizations.
